How can I login to the Admin Console / Area?

IMPORTANT PRODUCT UPDATE: Making easier to access the Admin Area in EfL

We recently introduced a "single sign on" feature to the EfL Web console and Admin console, which means that authorised users (authorised by you), will be able to access the Admin Console directly from the EfL Web Console. i.e. you will no longer need to remember or use the URL and shared credentials for the Admin Console. You can now do it all from one place (the EfL Web Console) using your one individual login (the username you currently use to access the Web Console and Assessment Area in the app).

In order to give yourself and any other users access to the Admin Console from the Web Console, you simply go to the User Manager Screen (either in Web Console or the Admin Console) and apply the new permission "Admin Console/Area Access" to yourself and relevant colleagues.

Here is a short video that demonstrates the single sign on being used and it shows how quick & simple it is for you to grant specific users permission to access the Admin Console / Area:

Here are the instructions on how to use the Web Console to give a user permission to access the Admin Console / Area:

1.    On a computer, login to the Web Console.

2.    Hover over  Admin (top right) and Click User Manager.

See below...

3.    Click  Edit next to the user that you want the grant permission to.

See below...

4. Scroll down and tick the relevant box (highlighted in yellow) to grant the user permission to access the Admin Console / Area.

Click Save.

See below...

5.    A tick in the Admin Console / Area Access Colum indicates the the user now the relevant permission. You can repeat the process if you want to give the permission to any other specific users.

See below...

After this permission has been applied, those users access the Admin Console by first logging into the EfL Web Console (see below) and then selecting 'Access the Admin Console/Area' from the "Admin" menu in the top right.

As a result of this development, we will be phasing out the shared credentials that have historically been used to access your school's Admin Console. We will be in touch over the coming weeks and months to confirm when these will be finally phased out.

NB. Because there is now effectively one single login for the EfL Web Console (linking directly to the Admin Console if authorised) and the Assessment Area in the app, we will now be referring to this as the EfL Username.
