How do I switch the EfL App to use on a new Device?

It's super simple to switch to using new devices.

Most important thing is to ensure that all evidence captured on the 'old' devices has been saved to the EfL Cloud.

Once you've checked this (and saved any evidence), you then simply deactivate the subscription on the old device, then delete the app.

You can then activate the subscription on the new device and set it up with the data you need (learners, tags, frameworks, plus, etc)..

(1) Check and ensure all evidence captured on the old device has been saved to the EfL Cloud

Here's a guide / video to help you with the first step:

(2) Once all evidence is off the device, you can then deactivate the subscription on the 'old' device.

  • Go to Settings ("cog" button in top left of the home screen in the app)
  • Under "Subscription" tap 'Deactivate Subscription'.
  • It will ask you to confirm - tap 'Deactivate'

(3) Delete EfL app on the 'old' device'

(4) Set up new device

You'll find all the information you need to set up new devices for your school, including the DeviceIDs and QuickPair Passphrase in the Admin Console.

  • Log in to the EfL Web Console on your laptop/desktop

  • Under "Admin" in the upper right, select 'Access the Admin Console / Area'
  • This opens the Admin Console / Area in a new tab

  • Under "Miscellaneous" select "Device Manager".

This has a step by step guide as well as a list of your Device IDs and link to the QuickPair Passphrase.

Additionally these 2 guides show you how to set up new devices.
