Overview: New Academic Year (rollover) including Walkthrough Videos

    We want to help you to be ready for the new academic year. 

    • Ensure that all evidence has been saved to the Cloud
    • Archive learners who have left
    • Add the new intake of learners 
    • Update classes/groups. As learners and teachers move around the school there may be PLGs/Assessment Books that need updating.
    • Set up Devices

    Steps to set up EfL for the new academic year. 

    There are 5 main steps.

    Step 1a:          Ensure all Evidence has been saved to the Cloud

    Upload to the Cloud or delete the Evidence that is still on a device.

    On every device:

    Step 1b:          Remove from your device: Learners & PLGs that you don't need                                                    in the new academic year.

    Step 2a:          Archive (and possibly delete) Learners who have left

    Step 2b (non-Insights users):          Import new Learners and rollover classes

    Step 3:           Edit the permissions of a PLG Assessment Book

    You can edit the Permission of PLGs using either the Web Console on a computer (Step 3a) or by using the App on an iPad (Step 3b).

    • Update the Owner
    • Change which Assessment Users can access the Assessment Book linked to a PLG
    • Use the Bulk Edit Feature to make these changes to a number of PLGs at once

    Step 4:           Edit Assessment Books that are not linked to a PLG
    • Change the name of an Assessment Book
    • Link a Group (or change the Group) that is linked to an Assessment Book
    • Manually Change the Learners in an Assessment Book
    • Change which Assessment Users can access the Assessment Book
